Based on my interview, the McDonalds has provides more than 10 types of burger included both chicken and beef and some of the snacks and beverages. Besides that, it also provides many types of meal bundles such as Dollar Menu, Extra Value Meals, Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals. 
Direct Competition is means that at the market situation where the two or more firms has offer the same service or good. The Indirect Competition is means that the competition of the suppliers of different types of products that satisfy the same needs.  The McDonalds, Burger King and Wendy’s would be in direct competition for each other whereas the Pizza Hut, Dominos and Papa John's would also be directly competing with McDonalds.
In order to fight with the both directly or indirectly competitors, the McDonalds has offer many valuable package to attract the customers. By more efficient to achieve the customers, the company would done some advertising such as through media, newspaper, Facebook and by giving vouchers such as buy one free one or discount vouchers.
In the market’s population, the demand for the product has become growing for every years because of their better services and high quality and nutrition of food. The McDonalds would measure that the food is fresh and save for their customers and the company will made the food on that day, if there have any of the unsold food, the company will no keep it for sale and it will give their workers to prevent wages.

The McDonalds Company would be launching a new product for every 2 month or have occurred some of the event.

Process

Nowadays, the McDonald have offer many variety types of fast food to customers. It divided into burgers, sandwiches, chicken, breakfast, salads, snacks, McCafé, beverages,  desserts and shakes.
McDonald’s have offered many types of promotion, one of it is weekday breakfast special promotion. The McDonald’s Malaysia has offered 5 types of choices at a cost as low as rm4 for every weekday morning. But, the promotion for this is only available for limited period only and it starts from 4am until 11 am. The McDonald’s also provided McValue lunch and dinner for their customers and is it only for RM5.95 with all 10 of your favorite McDonald’s meals. For the McValue lunch is start from 12pm-3pm whereas the dinner is start from 6pm – 9pm for every day. Besides that, all of the foods are subject to 5 % government tax. Furthermore, the McDonald’s also have provides something special for kids such as exciting toys and collectibles. This event are available for limited time only so who are interest with each must be head down to your nearest McDonald's restaurant now and start collecting them.

The McDonald’s has offered many valuable services to their customers such as free Wi-Fi, Arch Card and Play Places and Parties. The McDonald has provided free Wi-Fi for every customer and their customers can enjoy food at there and it also can online. The customers especially for the children, they can celebrate their birthday party at there because it is really fun for kids. Besides that, with the Arch Card it is a great gift for their kids, employees and client. So, at McDonald’s it bring us many benefits such as convenient, save more time and enjoy delicious food.

The McDonald’s has provided many types of training and development courses. There are 4 types of training such as practical skills, time management skills, team skills and communication. Under the practical skills, it train their workers by delivering exceptional customer service and handling money whereas the time management skills it teach them about the organizing yourself so you’re always  be prepared and no need to rush and the importance is always being punctual. For the team skills, it provided them to be learning the work along and no always dependent on other people or contributing to the team whereas the communication is means that interacting with colleagues, management team and our customers.
Basically, the McDonald’s would improve their company brand awareness by TV advertisement or in newspaper, website, billboard, and it also can increase the company sale or means that profit. For the length of franchise agreement is 10 years before they can start their business.

Profitability

The costs for starting the new McDonald's restaurant is between RM2.0 million to RM4.5 million and is usually depend on the size and location of the restaurant. Besides that, the initial cost incur are included the franchise fee of USD 22,500 paid upon or prior to the beginning of the franchise.
Furthermore, the start-up costs of the franchise also included the costs of decoration, kitchen equipment, signage, furniture and redesigning at the minimum of RM1.7 million and maximum of RM2.5 million are paid to the suppliers. Besides that, the start-up costs of the franchise also included the interest-free of RM50, 000 deposits for the faithful performance of the franchise and it would be refundable when the date of the franchise is expired.
Moreover, the McDonald would incur RM200, 000 - RM250, 000 for pre-opening expenses. Inside this costs it provide the training for their staff and it also incur the living expenses when the staff training. After that, the other miscellaneous costs are stamp duty, it is the costs that are necessary paid by the franchisee to the working capital.
The royalty fee is one of the ongoing fees and is based on a percentage of the company gross sales, normally the McDonald royalty fee is 5 % on their gross sales. Based on franchise agreement, when you want to start your business you must refer to the franchise agreement. In the franchise agreement there were such rule before the franchisor start the business and the franchisor must signing in the agreement first and the term of  the franchise are 10 years. After, the franchise agreement are expired the franchise are not allowed to sell your franchise to a third party unless they get the consent of the franchisor.
The company’s current financial status are good because the company sales and profit are planned early before they start their business and they are expecting a positive growth trend to be continue.

People

Mohamed Shad is a Chairman of McDonald Malaysia. He acts as a leader of an organization and his responsibilities is to improve its competitive standing. Besides that, the chairman of McDonald is usually oversea corporate board of directors meetings and to confirms that all the supervision follows their recommendations when his implementing the procedures, systems and internal controls.
 The President of McDonald is Stephen Chew, who is a person to solve the problem that happened in the marketing, communications and business insights and is also will do the meeting with the Chairman to discuss and solve the problem.
 Nasir Bin Mailok is an Operations Manager of McDonald and his job is to handle and hiring the managers of the advertising, sales and other. The Operations Manager is only report to an executive board and his does not need to put the capable people in place but sometimes they are referred to as the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer.
The Sales Executive is a person who assists in a company to improve their sales by selling goods and services to customers and to ensure that the companies are running to earn the profit and avoid to made loss in their business. Furthermore, the Sales Executive also helps the customers to find what they want.
The employee of the McDonald are work for 8 hours every day and they are divided into 2 shift such as morning shift and midnight shift and the qualification to become the employees of McDonald is able to speak English and Bahasa Melayu. Besides that, they must be able to handle and count money.
After that, the products offered today have met the customer’s needs and their customers very satisfy about the products. Most of the customers are teenagers and adults because the McDonald is offers many type of fast food. The market target of McDonald is target on every segment of the demography such as the income, gender, age, race and the family life cycle.
